She might be a Duchess, but that doesn't mean she's getting out of spending time with the in-laws. As reported by People, Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth made their way by train to northwest England on Thursday morning to Cheshin. Not just any old train, the royal train. The particular train they took, reserved only for the two of them is the preferred travel option of royals as it allows them to work and relax while en route. This marks the Queen and her new granddaughter-in-laws first trip solo since Harry and Meghan tied the knot on May 19th.

The Duchess of Sussex was outfitted by Givenchy, her wedding dress designer, while Queen Elizabeth wore Stewart Parvin. As the royal pair got off the train they were greeted by David Briggs, the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. The two had quite the day making their way to the opening of the Mersey Gateway Bridge, where they also watched a performance by local school children prior to the Queen opening the bridge. Then they headed to meet a Syrian settlement group at Storyhouse. Finally they had lunch at Chester Town Hall.
