Here’s What Role Duchess Kate, Now a Mom of Three, Will Have in the Royal Wedding
This role seems perfect for the new mom.
With the arrival of the newest little prince and the next royal wedding just weeks away, there has been a lot of speculation of what role Kate Middleton will have at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. New reports are now saying that while Prince George is set to serve as an adorable page boy in his uncle's wedding, Princess Charlotte will be a precious flower girl, and their dad is rumored to be the best man, Kate might have the night off.
According to Vanity Fair, Kate will not be serving as a bridesmaid in the royal wedding, but this should not be seen as a snub. In fact, it's Harry and Meghan's way of allowing the now mom of three, to relax and enjoy the wedding. Because let's be honest, any new mom would be thrilled she doesn't have to squeeze into a bridesmaid's gown just a few weeks postpartum.
"Frankly, Harry and Meghan are just happy that Kate will be there given she will only just have given birth," Vanity Fair's source reports. "They have told her there is no pressure on her to do anything, they just want her to enjoy the day."
So instead of walking down the aisle in a bridesmaid's dress that she will never wear again, Kate can simply be the doting mom as her two oldest kids take part in the wedding and the supportive wife while Prince William toasts the newlyweds. "They just want Kate to be able to enjoy the day and not worry about anything. Harry has said there's no pressure on her to do anything. They know Kate will have her hands full."
While the bride's gown will surely be the star of the show, there's no doubt that Kate will rock an amazing coat and a fantastic fascinator. Hopefully she will have a nanny on hand so that she can enjoy a few glasses of champagne at the royal reception. Because Mamma has earned it.
