Welcome to Puerto Rico where there’s a beautiful sunset, sprawling beach, or romantic adventure waiting around every corner. At least that’s the hope on 90 Day: Hunt for Love! We’re excited to see all of the group dates and romantic escapades on the island this season, but in the meantime, we’ve rounded up 10 incredible, romantic experiences you can find in Puerto Rico.

Flamenco Beach

Miles of soft sand and sparkling turquoise water — what could be more romantic? Flamenco Beach, reached via ferry from San Juan, is the perfect place for a dreamy beach walk, snorkeling, or simply soaking in the views. 

Mosquito Bay

Seeing one of the brightest bioluminescent bays in the world light up at night is ultra-romantic. Book a kayaking tour to see the organisms that light up the ocean floor. Don’t forget to take a moment to look up to the stars in the sky, too!

Old San Juan

Taking a stroll through historic old San Juan is a must. Stop in the colorful and bustling plazas, peep into the cathedrals and soak in the sights and smells. Stop into the Barrachina restaurant for a Pina Colada, as Puerto Rico is the birthplace of this tropical drink. We promise this will be a fun and romantic day date.

Salsa Dancing

Immerse yourself in Puerto Rican culture by taking a salsa dancing class and then hitting the dance floor at one of the local bars offering live salsa on any given day. Novice or expert, this will make for such a fun date as you move to the rhythm of the music.

Coffee Farm

You’ll find incredible coffee farms across Puerto Rico; many you can tour and a few you can stay at. What’s more romantic than waking up with a cup of coffee right on the farm? Stay in one of the eco cabins at Hacienda Iluminada, sure to be a wonderfully intimate experience.

Sunset Sail

There are few things more romantic than watching the sun set from a boat. Take a sunset catamaran tour of Old San Juan Bay with a cocktail in hand as the sun sinks over the horizon. You’ll get incredible views of nature and the surrounding San Juan sites.

El Yunque

You can’t visit Puerto Rico without a stop at the incredible El Yunque rainforest. The biodiversity of plants and animals is like no other. Stop at waterfalls, cascades, and swimming pools to refresh. It’s worth making an entire day date out of it.

Have Cocktails at La Factoria

Spend the night sipping on cocktails and dancing to a DJ at La Factoria, one of Puerto Rico’s most famous cocktail bars.

Horseback Riding

Take a leisurely horseback ride on the shores, through the forest, gaining access to places you wouldn’t otherwise be able to explore. Novices are welcome and learn all about the beautiful plants and animals that make up the island.

Go Ziplining

If your idea of romance involves a little bit of adventure, ziplining is a great date in Puerto Rico. There are tons of different locations to sail above the rainforests and get a different perspective — and rush — from high above.
