Accomplishments Through the Years

Janelle, Meri, and Christine have come such a long way since we met them on the first season of Sister Wives. From creating career changes to opening up to new people, the wives have grown in every way. Look back at some of their biggest wins and keep up with their new era on Sister Wives.

Christine Passes Her Real Estate Exam

Christine wanted to contribute financially and decided to pursue a career in real estate. However, she was 2% shy of passing the exam at the end of her course. She buckled down to study even harder and her kids had to pick up the household chores she didn't have time to complete. She felt bad about not giving the kids her full attention as much as she usually would, but she was determined to achieve this personal goal. In the end, her efforts paid off and she passed the exam!

Meri Takes Over the Bed & Breakfast

It was Meri's dream to buy back her family's bed & breakfast and she brought the idea to her family. Unfortunately, they didn't support the purchase and didn't want to contribute to the down payment. Meri felt upset by the overall reaction to her proposal, but she didn't give up. She was able to put together enough money for the B&B purchase and began operating it herself! Not only did she have her great grandparents' home back, but she also became a thriving business owner.

Janelle's RV Life

With her lease ending soon and her Coyote Pass home not even started, Janelle thought of a unique way to create her own residence while saving some money. She bought an RV for herself and her daughter, Savannah, to live in until her permanent home was built. While the others were confused by her plan, Janelle found it to be a new adventure! The RV had its quirks, but this was something that Janelle had always wanted to try out and she made it happen.

Christine's Big Move

Christine moved on, emotionally and physcially. She packed up her things and moved from Flagstaff to Utah, and her kids supported her the whole way. When she arrived to her new home, her daughter, Aspyn, handed over the new house keys and they all toured the house together. It was a monumental change for Christine and the first time she could call something hers, all on her own.

Christine & David Get Hitched

When Christine first moved to Utah, she didn't know what her future would look like, but she was so excited to find out. Little did she know, love was just around the corner. Christine married her beloved David in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by loved ones.

Single Janelle

Janelle embraced her new single status with her amazing support system of girlfriends. They wanted only the best for Janelle. For this first time ever, Janelle was able to do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. So, she went on a girls' trip with her besties to New Orleans! Janelle felt a whole new kind of freedom and independence — and she was only getting started.

Meri Gets Back Into Dating

Meri decided it was time to dip her toe into the dating pool. After so many years of marriage, speed dating was a good way to meet a handful of people at once. She wanted to find someone who liked her just as she was, polygamist past and all. Not all of her connections were a hit, but she met a great man named Ron, whoc she formed a special friendship with afterward. Meri was proud of herself for getting back out there!

Janelle's Spiritual Release

Janelle wanted to get a spiritual divorce, which required going to the church elders and stating her case. She wasn't sure what the outcome would be, but she was hopeful that her request would be granted. Luckily, it was a simple process and all of her paperwork was waiting there for her when she arrived. Janelle walked out feeling relieved and ready to fully move on.

Janelle's New Home

Janelle moved to North Carolina to be closer to her kids and grandchildren. Together, they bought land and broke ground. Soon, Janelle had the keys to her new build and she was thrilled to call this house her home — something that only belonged to her. Janelle and her family planned to open up a flower farm on the property next!

The Wives' Reunion

For the first time in ages, Christine, Janelle, and Meri reunited to share family photos with each other. They all approached the meeting with some hesitation, but ended up sharing wholesome memories and opening the door for more meetups in the future. Their relationships were so different now, but they were curious to see how they'd get along moving forward.
