Fun Summer Activities
Summer is great for so many reasons, including the vast opportunities to spend more time outside! In 90 Day: Hunt for Love, the singles have been able to take advantage of the summer sun (and the beach!) to go on some special, one-of-a-kind dates. Those dates aren’t just made for TV, they’re easy to recreate IRL too. Here are ten unique ways to soak up summer and spend some quality time with your date.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
There’s something so relaxing being out on a calm lake. Add in a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) and you’ll add an element of fun as you both try to stand up and stay up on the paddle. It’s easy once you get the hang of it, but there are sure to be laughs along the way making for a great date night or morning activity. For an added challenge, many places offer SUP yoga if you’re willing to test your whole body balance on the board.
Goat Yoga
There’s yoga and then there is goat yoga. Imagine doing a plank to find a baby goat jumping on your back mid-pose. These super friendly animals participate in class in their own way and you and your date will be sure to have a few laughs in between your Oms.
Bike Tour
Hopping on bikes always makes for a fun date, but why not make it a tour? There are so many great offerings from lighthouse tours to food tours and architecture to history. Pick a topic you both like and get riding! You’ll get exercise and learn a ton of new facts to discuss.
Dinner at a Farm
Redefine the al fresco dinner date with dinner on an actual farm. If you’re lucky enough to be within driving distance of a farm, many of them really showcase their ingredients in the summer by hosting farm dinners, often with special guest chefs. These dinners are usually set outside amongst the stunning landscape with beautifully plated food, communal seating, and drinks to "cheers" the moment.
Mini Golf
Maybe not unique, but certainly a classic and fun summer date night. Mini golf makes everyone smile and brings out the best in competitive spirit. Find a course, grab some clubs, and it’ll sure be a great night out.
Stargazing
Even if we are surrounded by beauty most nights, few of us take a moment to pause and look up at the sky at night. A date night stargazing is the perfect way to do that. Grab a blanket and maybe a telescope, find a clear spot, and appreciate nature together.
Seashell Hunt
Take a walk along the beach and make it more fun by searching for seashells. It’s a nice way to make it feel more casual and maybe come home with a few treasures from the date. Not by a beach with shells? Unique rocks will do the trick, too.
Visit a U-Pick Orchard
Summer and fall in most places are the best time of year to visit a U-pick orchard or farm where you can grab your own berries, apples, sunflowers, and more. It’s a fun date activity to do together. And who knows…if the date is going well, take your newfound fruit and vegetables and cook something together!
Stroll Through a Botanical Garden
Botanical gardens are some of the most beautiful places with collections of plants and flowers that you can see in few other places. Why not take your date to one of these places (conservatories can be beautiful too) to walk around? Many of them also have cafes where you can stop for a drink or a bite.
Ice Cream Shop Hopping
Going out for ice cream is a classic date, but why not find a few different ice cream shops to stop at and test out different flavors. You can do this with any dessert (or food really). You’ll learn a lot about your date from their ice cream preferences and you’ll probably get some cute pics together, too.
