Choosing your baby's name can be difficult. So when you find the perfect name and someone has a negative reaction to your baby's moniker, it can be really upsetting. Worse, imagine it's your own parents who hate your baby's name! While Emma and Liam are still topping the list of most popular baby names, there is a new list out and it has the least popular baby names voted on by grandparents.

In a survey that included over 2,000 parents and grandparents, these family members got candid about what goes into naming a baby and family members reactions to those names. While 38 percent of parents surveyed said it's none of the grandparents' business what their grandchild is named, it can still cause a rift in the family if grandma and grandpa aren't fans.

Here are the top 14 names that will annoy your parents or in-laws.

  • Aurora
  • Edna
  • Charlotte
  • Lindsay
  • Sally
  • Bertha
  • Tabitha
  • Jack
  • Noah
  • Roger
  • Elijah
  • Frank
  • Finn
  • Ian

So why the dislike of these names? There were quite a few responses like the name sounded to old-fashioned, it wasn't a family name, to it simply wasn't the name the grandparents-to-be suggested.

When it came to who was the most unhappy with an unpopular name, Grandmothers were the biggest offenders. With 44 percent of the new mom's mothers being unhappy and 42 percent of mother-in-laws being unhappy, it seems like grandfathers are staying tightlipped about their feelings on baby names.
