After sharing a few stunning photos of herself before heading off to a work event, Kristen Bell got real about what happens when a mom tries to get all fancy and leave the house. Spoiler alert: your kids do crazy things.

Bell, who was dressed in a gorgeous white suit, nude top and pumps, had to make a quick change of plans because her 4-year-old daughter, Delta, shoved a jewel up her nose. Oh, motherhood. It sure is glamorous.

“Right before this photo was taken, my youngest daughter shoved a jewel up her nose, up to her brain and we jumped in the car and headed to the emergency room,” the actress explained in her Instagram story. “On the way, she snorted it out and we-rerouted.”

Luckily the whole jewel debacle was a false alarm for Bell and her husband, Dax Shepard. However, parents everywhere could totally relate to this type of emergency because parenting is all about the unexpected.

We’re glad Bell could keep her cool and laugh about the whole event once it was over. After all, she looked pretty fierce and she got to show off that beautiful look.
