Blogging Can Be A Source of Creativity: Here's How to Start Your Own!

A simple routine might be all you need!

August 15, 2018

Blogging is a great way to put all your bottled-up creative energy into something amazing. You can write a blog about anything and everything that you are interested in! We are living in a time where everything you need to start a blog is right at your fingertips and all you have to do is start! We will be spilling all the best tips and tricks to start your own blog from scratch.

Step 1: Pick Your Topic + Name

The most important step is to figure out what you want to blog about. Do you love pottery? Are you obsessed with music? Fashion? Painting? Whatever it is that you love, run with it. Don't try to pick something that you think other people want to see. At the end of the day, you are the one putting in the work, so you should make it something you are truly interested in. Also, don't forget to pick the name of your blog! Think of something that represents you and what your topic is.

Step 2: Create a Website

For beginner bloggers, there are tons of amazing user-friendly blog sites out there. You can buy themes, domains, and plugins that will take your blog to the next level. But we recommend starting out with the free tools, and once you are ready, you can start paying to upgrade your site. Make your site on-brand with what you are talking about. Use images and color schemes that fit your vision and will make your blog come to life.

Step 3: Create Social Media Platforms

A great way to announce you have a blog and keep people in the loop on your updates is to have some sort of social media platform. This is a place to promote your articles, post fun pictures, and gather an audience for your blog. Make sure to use related hashtags to help people find your page and follow your journey!

Step 4: Create a Newsletter

This is a simple way that you can get people to enter their emails into your site to get notifications when a post goes live. A newsletter keeps people updated and also allows you access to your audience's emails in case you ever need to reach out to announce something or ask them questions! Many sites have a built-in newsletter feature, but there are also great ways to make newsletters for free online!

Step 5: Start Writing!

You can plan and brainstorm all day long, but unless you actually sit down and write, you won't have a blog! This is the fun part where you can really dive into all of the topics you want to talk about. You can establish your voice and mission to capture your audience! This is the time where you can talk about all your passions and share them with like-minded people!

Creating a blog is a fun way to showcase your passions! It can be extremely fun and rewarding when you put time and effort into it. With these tips, you will have a fabulous blog in no time. Happy blogging!
