Winter weddings may have colder temps, but the glittering snow and lack of humidity can be two huge bonuses. Plus, it’s generally a less busy time of year for weddings, making your nuptials really stand out. Winter weddings are also a time to experiment with fun accessories that just wouldn’t cut it in the height of summer. Here are some of our favorites.

Fur accessories are an amazing perk of winter weddings. They add warmth and pizzazz to any bridal outfit for outdoor photos and during the ceremony. The best part? After the wedding, this faux fur collar can keep you warm the whole winter.

Olive and Cocoa

You can’t control precipitation, but you can still look cute as rain or snow falls from the sky. This windproof, heart-shaped umbrella is large (43" x 39") and comes in a vibrant red–a perfect contrast to a white dress.

Men's Warehouse

Velvet is a great addition to any winter wedding. Whether it’s for the bride, groom or the bridal party, it adds fun texture and depth to any outfit. We love the addition of a velvet bowtie to add a bit of pizzazz to an otherwise classic tuxedo.

Saks Fifth Avenue

Winter is a great time to add unique hair pieces into your bridal style. We love these simple snowflakes that beautifully sparkle with a subtle nod to the season.

Winter can be moody and dramatic, so why not add something into your outfit that reflects that? We love these crystal earrings. They can be your something blue and they bring a bit of vintage glamour to any winter wedding ensemble.

This one may be a good addition to a winter bachelorette party but could also make for super cute photos with the bridal party. This hat has the word “bride” (or “groom,” “bridesmaid,” etc.) monogrammed onto it and a cute faux fur pom pom on top.

Fur isn’t the only thing to keep you warm in the winter. Feathers are having a moment right now and this shrug pulls double duty, keeping your outfit festive and you warm.

Winter is a great time to rock the hooded cape look. This version is made of thick velvet and it is a great cover-up for an outdoor ceremony or as a flowing piece as you come down the indoor aisle.

Fresh flowers aren’t as in season in the winter, so why not go dried or silk with some beautiful wintery touches? Add in snow brushed pine leaves, pinecones and silvery blue flowers for the perfect winter bouquet that will last a lifetime.

David's Bridal

Gloves are commonplace in the winter and satin ones add some glamour to an already gorgeous wedding look.
