Describe bridal dress shopping in three words.

I can't do it in three words, but I'll do it in three statements. I think that bridal shopping should be fun. It's really great because you have your whole family there and friends. And sometimes, it can be a little chaotic.

What's the most fulfilling part about helping brides find their dream dresses?

The most fulfilling part for me in working with brides is finding the perfect dress that makes that bride look and feel beautiful on her wedding day. I'm not a surgeon, I'm not a plastic surgeon. I don't save people's lives, but if I can make a woman look and feel beautiful on her wedding day, then I've achieved my goal.

Any advice for brides on their journey to their big day?

You know, when wedding dress shopping, I think it's really important to have direction. Keep an open mind and lay down some rules before you step into the salon. For instance, if your budget is $1,000, tell your entourage unless they're paying the other $9,000, don't pull a $10,000 dress.

Tell your entourage, "I don't want to look like Cinderella, so don't pull a big, poofy ball gown and make me look ridiculous." And you know, "I'm very sensitive about my thighs, so when I'm on the pedestal in front of everyone, don't say, 'Damn, that dress makes you look big,' because I'm going to end up in the dressing room crying." I think if brides have a conversation before they walk into the salon, they're going to have a much better appointment.

What excites you the most about a new season of Say Yes to the Dress?

Oh my gosh! I am so excited about the new season of Say Yes to the Dress because it's been a while since it's been on. And I think especially during these times, we need some good, happy shows.

And you know, going into watching Say Yes to the Dress, no matter what subject we tackle — whether it be difficult or challenging or whatever — there's going to be a happy ending at the end of the show where a beautiful couple is getting married. And so, I think it's a feel-good show, and I think we need it right now. That makes me truly excited for this new season!
