For kids, summer camp is all about having fun and making sweet memories. Even if they are having the best summer ever — or if they are feeling a little homesick — receiving a care package is always a great way to let your camper know you’re thinking of them. But what should you send?

We’ve rounded up some of the best ideas that will thrill kids, but won’t break the bank. Before you mail your care package, be sure to double-check with camp officials about any restrictions on what can be sent, and make sure you give the package extra time to arrive!

For the Bunk: These gifts can be shared with bunkmates so they can get in on the fun!

  • Squirt guns
  • Water balloons
  • Decorations for the bunk
  • Bubbles
  • Matching bandanas
  • Stickers and tattoos

This set of glow sticks comes with a ton of connectors, so the entire bunk can make bracelets, glasses, or necklaces. With this in a camp care package, the entire bunk will be cheering!

Creative Fun: From arts and crafts to some STEM fun, or just something to keep kids entertained, these are always a hit with campers.

  • Colored pencils
  • Rainbow Loom
  • Nail stickers
  • Hair chalk
  • Lego sets
  • Mad Libs
  • Garbage Pail Kids
  • Fidgets

This kit comes with an autograph pillow, markers, stationary set, and cute wristbands that your camper will love.

Plan Ahead: Have these done before your camper leaves home.

  • Notes for when they are feeling sad, happy, need a laugh, etc.
  • Notes and pictures from pets
  • Pre-addressed envelopes for friends and family

With these magnetic photo frames, your camper can display their favorite pictures from home around their bunk.

Game Time: Every night can be game night with these ideas.

  • Deck of cards
  • Uno
  • Pokemon cards
  • Travel board games

Card games are the best and with this set, kids can play all of their favorites.

Reading and Writing: Encourage your reader while they're at camp.

  • Journal and pens
  • Comic books
  • A new book
  • Bookmarks
  • Sudoku books

Keep your camper laughing with this joke book.

Making Memories: They won’t forget all the fun they had at camp with these items!

  • Disposable camera
  • Underwater camera
  • Pillowcase and fabric markers so their friends can sign

Keep those memories forever with this autograph book!

Extras: Just because you know they'll need these.

  • Toothpaste
  • Contact solution
  • Bug spray
  • Sunscreen stick

This set includes everything they'll need to wash and care for their hair — let’s just hope they use it.
