Double cleansing is a huge part of Korean skincare and it can help with makeup removal, breaking down sunscreen, and reducing the appearance of texture on skin. But with so many options on the market, it can be hard to find the right kind for you and your skin type. I've found that Banila Co. has the solution.

Banila Co.’s Clean it Zero line of cleansers target different concerns by incorporating chemical exfoliants, antioxidants, herbs, and royal jelly in some of their formulas. There are six main cleansing balms from the brand: Original, Clarifying, Purifying, Revitalizing, Nourishing, and Brightening — and you can decide which would work best with your skin based on your needs.

How Does It Work?

Start with dry skin. Take the included spatula and scoop a bit of the balm out of the container. Gently massage the product in circular motions on your face using your fingertips. The product will quickly break down any makeup, sunscreen, and other products on your skin. Once you’re done, add water to emulsify the oil and massage your face once more. Finally, rinse well!

If you’re a fan of double cleansing, now is the time to take your regular cleanser and wash for up to one minute. Otherwise, simply wipe your face with a cloth or tissue right after you rinse the balm away.

Bottom Line

Getting all of the day’s gunk out of your pores before bed is so important, and the Clean it Zero cleansing balms make that task feel like a spa day. With this product, you no longer have to be rough on your skin in order to remove your makeup — once the balm is warmed up on your skin, everything will practically glide right off! Even if you don’t wear makeup, Clean it Zero balms can break down the oils in your skin, your prior skincare, sunscreen, and other impurities.
