"We're feeling both excited and exhausted at the same time," shared the new parents in People. And with good reason--Maddie labored for over 72 hours, including 12 hours of hard labor!

Baby Axel is not only the first grandchild for Maddie's parents Kody and Janelle, but also the first grandbaby for the entire Brown family! After announcing her pregnancy in November Maddie revealed "We think it would be super cute to have different names for all the grandmas but ultimately they get to choose what they are called."

"The whole family is excited." explained Janelle, Maddie's mother to People. "In fact the biggest trick will be giving Maddie her rest because there's going to be this long line of parents and siblings that will be continuously wanting to hold the baby."

Maddie and Caleb were thrilled to learn they were having a baby boy back in January, and stocked up on plenty of camo-print baby gifts at their woodland-themed baby shower.
