Creating traditions with your kids like leaving cookies out for Santa and waking up on our birthday to a stack of pancakes covered in sprinkles and whipped cream make childhood so much more magical. Since today is National Tooth Fairy Day, why not make a visit from this lady a little more special too. From fairy dust to special gifts, losing a tooth has never been so much fun. If you have a little one with a wiggly tooth that has hopes of getting a visit from the Tooth Fairy very soon, here's a little magical inspiration.

Leave Behind Fairy Dust- While glitter can be a huge mess and a lot of parents try to avoid glitter like the plaque, when it's Tooth Fairy time in our home, my kids cannot wait to see the glittery fairy dust she left behind. Sprinkle a little glitter on the window seal and if you are feeling extra glittery, sprinkle a little on their bed as well. Worried about the mess? A lint roller cleans up the tiniest pieces of glitter.

Turn Two Dollars into a Butterfly- You don't need to spend a lot of money to make a lot of magic. With a little folding and a pipe cleaner, you can create butterfly dollars the Tooth Fairy can leave behind.

Give Glitter Dollars- Not willing to leave glitter fairy dust in their room but still want a little Tooth Fairy sparkle? In a few minutes you can DIY glitter dollars that will be a magical surprise. You can either buy spray glitter at a craft store or use hair spray or spray glue and glitter to get the same sparkle on dollar bills or coins. Do all of your spraying and glittering inside a large box to cut down on any mess.

Snap a Pic of The Tooth Fairy In Action- Using an app like Tooth Fairy Was Here, take a picture of your sleeping child and then choose the perfect fairy for this surprise picture. The app allows you to pop the picture of your fairy into your picture and save it to your phone. Show your little one in the morning the magical picture you captured but be sure to delete the app before they ask to play with your phone.
