Born in Orange County, California, Nate Berkus is an acclaimed interior designer, writer and actor. Berkus received a dual degree in French and Sociology from Lake Forrest College. Shortly after graduating, Berkus founded his own design studio, Nate Berkus Associates, in Chicago, Illinois. In 2005 Berkus published his first book, Home Rules: Transform the Place You Live into a Place You'll Love. Shortly after, his second book, Things that Matter, went on to become a New York Times Best Seller. On top of running his design empire, Berkus has also worked in the Hollywood spotlight as an actor, writer and executive producer. In 2014, Berkus married Jeramiah Brent, a fellow design guru. The couple now live together in California with their daughter Poppy, and recently welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Oskar!
