Holiday Makeover

Body Type: Average

Mom and executive assistant Marianna likes to show off her seasonal spirit: she has holiday attire for nearly every day of the year. Marianna thinks that her theme dressing is entertaining, but she doesn't realize that people are laughing at her and not with her. And when she's not dressing like a holiday greeting card, she's wearing schlumpy mom clothes. Can Stacy and Clinton show Marianna that she doesn't have to dress so literal to celebrate the holidays?

Fashion Don'ts:

  • Don't wear any shoe that's made of foam, rubber, or plastic.
  • No clothes that jingle, play music or have battery power.
  • Don't wear pastel pants if you're over the age of 20.
  • Don't buy clothes with elastic waists, they don't fit individual shapes.

Fashion Do's:

  • Stacy and Clinton's favorite motto is, "Things don't have to match, they have to go together."
  • You can say, "fall" without wearing leaves.
  • Wear one item that's a focal piece, instead of an outfit that looks like a costume.
  • Pair a colorful print with one pop of color.
  • Wedges are great for people not used to high heels.
  • Embellishments are the key to dressing with style for the holidays.
  • Shine is the key factor.
  • Mix metallics around the holiday season.

Nick Arrojo's Hair Transformation:

Marianna has zero time to work on her hair and wants a low-maintenance style. Stylist Nick Arrojo starts her hair transformation by enhancing her color and removing the gray. Next, he gives her a cut that will basically style itself. Using a razor, Nick gives her a chic, piecy layer cut with texture.

Carmindy's Makeover:

Marianna has oily skin and needs to use make-up with staying power. Carmindy is going to show her how to do a five-minute face. First, apply liquid foundation to all of the red areas using a sponge. Next, dust loose powder all over the face. For Marianna's eyes, Carmindy only gives her a wash of shadow and black mascara. Carmindy says if you only have time for one item of makeup, use mascara as it really frames the eyes. Polish the look off with a little gloss to the lips.
