Janelle's Easy No Cook Lasagna

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 8 ounce dry noodles
  • 1 16 ounce cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (optional)

CROCKPOT VERSION

  • 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 Teaspoon Italian seasonings
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 carton (16 ounces) cottage cheese
  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese

PREPARATION:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown beef, drain, add sauce and water to beef, simmer. In a 9x13 pan layer sauce, noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella, and repeat. End with sauce. Cover with foil and bake 1 hours. Remove foil and let stand for 10 min.

CROCKPOT VERSION

1. Break noodles first in half and put in greased crockpot. Don't overlap. Cover the bottom. Stir seasoning into meat and spread 1/2 on top of noodles. Then spread 1/2 of sauce and water and 1/2 cottage cheese and mozzarella. Repeat.

2. Cook 4 hours on low and don't over cook. Recipe instructions say 4-5 hours on low, but my crockpot seems to take about 3 1/2 -4 hours. You don't want edges to burn, just noodles to be soft.
