This episode was so much fun! I've enjoyed many magical trips with my kids to Dylan's Candy Bar over the years, but this was a completely different Dylan's experience.

It was a lot of fun to see what each team came up with to create a kid-friendly and unique design that incorporated all different kinds of candy.

In addition to the normal challenges faced by each team, they were also being judged by kids during this episode - a major curveball!

Kids love candy, of course, but they're also looking for designs that reflect the things that they love - their favorite candy, their favorite TV shows, etc. - and were looking for those things to be incorporated into the designs.

This episode also brought the need for teamwork to a whole new level. Teamwork and leadership are essential in any competition and are crucial to success in the working world. The teams that were able to communicate well were able to execute their cakes in a calm and confident manner. Fred from the teal team clearly had a vision with his gumball cake design, but lacked the skills to motivate his teammates. Their team, including Bethany and Jennifer from the purple team and Julie and Danielle from the pink team, would have been more successful if the design had been simplified so they could actually complete it and they had incorporated more candy to the finished cake.

The winning team of Don and Meredith, Al and Lia, and Jose and Aimee were very smart in the design process. They created something that gave each team member something that matched their skill level and were able to pull it all together in the end.
