What is the status of your addiction today?

She no longer eats sand! And she doesn't keep any around - she doesn't crave it if she doesn't have it. She has cut back on eating the nail files, but hasn't completely stopped. Now she just eats small pieces of the nail file once in a while. Her teeth are no longer hurting her. She misses eating sand a little, but doesn't crave it.

How has your life changed since being on the show?

She considers herself lucky that hurting her teeth was the worst that happened to her. After visiting the doctor, she realized that things could have been a lot worse, and is lucky she wasn't hurt more than she was.

How did being on the show and going to the doctor help you in terms of dealing with your addiction?

Being on the show helped her get over her addiction and realize she needed to stop. The scene with her sister was very emotional for her, and she's now more comfortable talking to others about eating sand.

Have you continued treatment for your addiction?

She saw the doctor we set her up with a few more times.

Do you have any words of advice for other people dealing with addictions?

Her advice to others overcoming addiction would be to tell somebody what you're doing, and listen to the people that are closest to you, and trust them.
