More than 1 out of every 5 students report being bullied.

PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center is working to change the culture in our society so that every child is safe. We empower all youth to recognize and prevent bullying by promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion by providing innovative resources for students, parents, educators, and communities. PACER recognizes bullying as a serious community issue that impacts education, physical and emotional health, and the safety and well-being of students.

National Bullying Prevention Month is a nationwide campaign founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign is held during the month of October and unites communities around the world to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention. This campaign has grown from an initial week-long event to a worldwide effort with thousands of individuals participating in multiple activities throughout October, including Unity Day.

RAINN
RAINN

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization and the leading authority on sexual violence. We are a dynamic organization focused on victim services, public education, public policy, and consulting services. Our team develops and operates best-in-class services for survivors, informs and educates the nation about sexual violence, and improves the public policy and criminal justice response to these crimes.

RAINN takes a victim-centered, trauma-informed approach to developing programs and services that support survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones in all stages of recovery. We operate the National Sexual Assault Hotline, available by phone (800.656.HOPE) and online (online.rainn.org) in both English and Spanish (rainn.org/es). RAINN also operates the Department of Defense Safe Helpline, services for members of the U.S. military affected by sexual assault. We work closely with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers to offer confidential support services, available 24/7, to survivors across the country.

Even if you give a little, it can make a world of difference to survivors and their loved ones. Explore RAINN's website to learn about the issue, volunteer, and support survivors.

No Body Shame is a movement that aims to end body shame by promoting self-love, acceptance, and unapologetic living -- right here, right now. Started by Whitney Thore, the star of TLC's MY BIG FAT FABULOUS LIFE, the movement recognizes body shame as a complex issue that affects a multitude of different people worldwide. Whitney believes that positive change cannot be initiated or sustained until an environment of self-love has been established and until we learn to value ourselves from the inside out. The mission of No Body Shame is clear: Love yourself. Live fully. Do it now -- no excuses. No shame.
