More than 1 out of every 5 students report being bullied.

PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center is working to change the culture in our society so that every child is safe. We empower all youth to recognize and prevent bullying by promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion by providing innovative resources for students, parents, educators, and communities. PACER recognizes bullying as a serious community issue that impacts education, physical and emotional health, and the safety and well-being of students.

National Bullying Prevention Month is a nationwide campaign founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign is held during the month of October and unites communities around the world to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention. This campaign has grown from an initial week-long event to a worldwide effort with thousands of individuals participating in multiple activities throughout October, including Unity Day.

No Body Shame is a movement that aims to end body shame by promoting self-love, acceptance, and unapologetic living -- right here, right now. Started by Whitney Thore, the star of TLC's MY BIG FAT FABULOUS LIFE, the movement recognizes body shame as a complex issue that affects a multitude of different people worldwide. Whitney believes that positive change cannot be initiated or sustained until an environment of self-love has been established and until we learn to value ourselves from the inside out. The mission of No Body Shame is clear: Love yourself. Live fully. Do it now -- no excuses. No shame.
