It seems like just moments ago that newlyweds Jill and Derick Dillard announced their pregnancy, just weeks after a magical wedding. The entire family is excited to have another GrandDuggar on the way, and Jill and Derick are busy prepping their home for Baby Dilly. They sat down with People magazine to talk about their upcoming parenthood.
Though Jill had severe morning sickness in the first trimester, all is well at the 35-week mark: "I feel great, I feel really good," Jill told the magazine. "He's moving around a lot and doing a lot of rolling." With Jill's experience in midwifery, it's no surprise that she and her doting husband attended birthing classes and already have a birthing pool, bassinet and crib in place.
One of the best parts of having a large family is that Jill isn't at a loss for help, and her sister Jana, also a midwife, has been a resource throughout the pregnancy. "My sisters, mom and Derick's mom are available as errand runners," she said. And don't discount Derick's smaller family: "I think my brother will be a great uncle," Derick told People. "He has as much baby experience as I do, but he has lined things up already, planning to take our son camping someday. We'll both get to change our first diaper."
The family has also been there to help them celebrate. Two weeks ago, the couple's friends and family threw them a lovely baby shower. Derick snapped a picture (below) and shared it with Instagram.
We wish the couple all the best in the final weeks of Jill's pregnancy!
