You’ve Never Seen a Mother-Son Wedding Dance Like This

Typically when you get to the mother-son dance portion of a wedding reception, guests take the opportunity to sit back, yawn and chill out as the groom and his mom rock back-and-forth through "What a Wonderful World." Clearly Evan Hegge and his mom, Pam, weren't content to play by the rules at his wedding.

As the South Dakota newspaper Argus Leader first reported, after the typical mother-son slow dance (yes, to "What a Wonderful World"), the Hegges took the opportunity to challenge each other to an old-fashioned dance off -- and provided some great entertainment for their guests while they were at it.

In the riveting, nearly five-minute video, the Yankton, South Dakota duo takes turns wowing the crowd with dance routines set to everything from The Spice Girls' "Wannabe" to Soulja Boy's "Superman" by to Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)." And both mother and son have some SERIOUS MOVES -- trust us when we tell you she does Beyonce justice. As the wedding DJ himself put it: "I've been doing this for more than 20 years and I've never seen anything like that."
