Your children's favorite part of Halloween is the part you hate: the bags and bags full of candy. Part of you wants your children to enjoy the holiday (and a few sweets), but the helicopter parent in you wants to throw most of it in the garbage. So what's a conscientious parent to do? Today.com recently polled 1,300 parents to see what they plan to do with their kids' Halloween candy stash, and here are the results:

  • 40% of parents ration it out
  • 27% percent of parents give a few pieces and hide the rest
  • 27% let them have it all
  • 4% trade it for a gift
  • 2% don't give them any

No matter what you choose, though, there's no shortage of options (besides eating it all yourself) -- add it to trail mix, save it to make a killer gingerbread house, or give it to people who need it more (Operation Shoebox is one outlet). Let us know your plans below:
