Wedding Painters and 4 More Trends We Can Totally Get Behind

Wedding trends come and go, but right now, here are five of the hottest things brides and grooms want on their big day.

1. Live painting

At first, people would have a photographer snap a few photos, then there were photo booths, and now brides and grooms are stepping up their game by hiring painters to create masterpieces during their big days! Check out the work of Harvie Oil Paintings or Wed on Canvas for inspiration.

2. Craft brews

Instead of signature cocktails, many brides and grooms are instead opting to serve signature brews from local breweries. Take it a step further and offer a beer flight station or a serve-yourself tap. The Decisive Moment captured this couple's event beautifully, although Miller Lite isn't exactly a craft beer.

3. Decals

Send special messages to your guests by putting adorable custom decals on mirrors, windows and walls. Things like "Mr. and Mrs." to "Love is in the air" to "your dance moves are legit" can encourage guests to have the best time at your wedding.

4. Themed cakes

We've gone through several wedding dessert themes -- remember the cupcake craze? -- and cakes are making a comeback. Only this time, they're tailored to match the bride and groom's interests, from cross fit to college football.

5. Slo mo video

You've gotta admit this is pretty cool. Photo booths are great, but slo mo video booths are a super unique way to capture your guests' goofiest moments.
