Watch this Pet Rooster Run to the Bus to Welcome His Human Home

When kids are away at school, often their pets wait patiently until they hear the bus pull up to the house so they can run out to meet their human. Usually this is a faithful dog or maybe even a cat, but for one teen, that's not the case. The pet that can't wait to greet his owner at the end of the driveway every single day is Frog, a pet rooster.

A video of Frog and his excitement over seeing 13-year-old Savannah get off the school bus, has this rooster winning the hearts of the internet. But according to Savanah's mom, Frog even escorts Savannah to the bus in the morning.

"He will stay with her at the end of the driveway until she gets on the bus," Holley Burns, Savannah's mother, told The Dodo. "He will then just come back and do his adventures with us and our daily routines until it's time to meet her when she gets home."

Frog has been living with the Burns family for about a year, and immediately they noticed that Frog was different. "He didn't walk -- he hopped," Burns said. "My son was like, 'It's hopping like a frog. We should name him 'Frog.'" And that, my friends, is how you name a rooster.

While Frog had plenty of chickens to socialize with at the Burns' Texas home, he prefers to hang with the humans and quickly became BFFS with Savannah.

However, Frog has another pal around the Burns house-- a dog named Casper. Frog even helps Casper in his times of need. "Casper was really terrified of storms, and Frog saw him cuddled up in the laundry room," Burns said. "So Frog cuddled up beside him. He was like, 'Hey, it's OK. Don't worry about it. Nothing is going to happen to you in the house.'"

Everyone seems to love Frog, even Savannah's bus driver. While it was a little shocking at first the bus driver now knows if Savannah does not get off the bus quickly, Frog will climb onto the bus to find her.

Dogs may be man's best friend, but this teen's BFF clearly is a rooster name Frog.
