Watch 8,500 Halloween Lights Blink in Time to Macklemore’s “Downtown”

Forget Christmas lights! For Brandon Bullis, Halloween is the most wonderful time of the year. During the past few holidays, he's decorated his Leesburg, Virginia, home with thousands of lights that perfectly sync up with that year's hottest pop songs. In 2013, it was "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" and in 2012, it was Psy's "Gangnam Style." This year, he chose Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' hit "Downtown" (as well as several other pops songs), triggering 8,500 "energy-efficient LED" lights to blink in time with the music. The half-hour show plays continuously each night from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. until October 30.

Though his home doesn't play the songs on repeat, visitors can tune their car radio to the "hear the lights" station to get the accompanying music. Watch his handiwork in the video above, and don't blame us when the song is stuck in your head all day!

Update: This year, the Edwards Landing Lights show will be raising money for a good cause! There will be a donation box next to the "Tune To 98.1 FM" sign, and all proceeds will go to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
