Two-in-One Wedding Gowns Are Going to Be All the Rage This Year

We've seen a lot of bridal trends comes and go -- like the big, poofy sleeves of the 80s and the sleek minimalist gowns of the 90s -- and as we gear up for this wedding season, we're seeing an exciting new one.

When Sofia Vergara got married in an elegant Zuhair Murad creation, we noticed an interesting feature -- a detachable skirt over a sexy sheath. The two-in-one gown allowed the actress to have a more formal look for the ceremony and a sexier, easier-to-move-in look for the reception.

Who needs two dresses when one will do the trick? It seems that her gown was the first of many! We have one in our March Maddress bracket and designers rolled out several gorgeous two-piece gowns during bridal fashion week in February. Check out some of the insanely pretty options.

Monique Lhuillier's two-in-one gown hides a shorter cocktail gown beneath a full skirt.

Amsale's Darcy gown gave a simple sheath an upgrade with a tulle train.

We're really liking the versatility it offers, as well as the maximum bang for your bridal buck. What do you think of this trend? Would you consider it on your wedding day?
