Choose the right invites- While most brides choose beautiful wedding invitations to announce the details of their big day, you can send out a more eco friendly version by choosing recycled paper and and by reducing the number inserts for your invitations, or go completely paperless and send out invites through email.

Set the tone with the location- Choosing an outdoor venue is a great option for your green wedding. With the light from the sun and the ambiance of your surroundings, you can host a beautiful wedding while saving on energy and resources. If you are hosting a wedding indoors, try to choose a location that uses energy efficient appliances and recycled materials for the wedding.

If there is a flower that you absolutely love but it isn't in season or grown locally, search for florist that guarantee they are grown without harsh pesticides. You can also use potted plants and small trees as your d?cor and send them home with your guests as favors.

Green Favors- From delicious edible favors that are purchased from local business to potted plants and flowers from the reception, consider take home favors that reduce the carbon footprint of all your guests.
