This Picture Shows That Clothing Sizes Mean Nothing

Next time you are near tears in the dressing room because your size isn't fitting you right (we've all been there) take a deep breath and remember this post!

One woman wrote an eye-opening Instagram post about how clothing sizes mean absolutely nothing! We all know that every store is going to differ a little bit when it comes to sizing. You could be fitting into a size 4 at one store and not even get your knee past a pair of size 10 jeans in another store. We realize that clothing sizes can be a little ridiculous, but we didn't realize quite how ridiculous until Katy Hamilton posted a side by side picture in the same size jeans from the same store.

LOL sizing is SUCH bullshit ?? these are both a size 10 short from express in their low rise leggings. Literally the same store, cut, size, etc. The one was a hair too big & the other didn't even go over my thighs ?? like WHAAAT?! My reason for sharing is...If you ever find yourself in a fitting room ready to bust into tears when something doesn't fit (we've all been there, myself included...millions of times...ask my mom) REMEMBER THIS PIC! There are times I'm a small, times I cant even muscle into a large, times a 10 falls off my hips & times, like this, it doesn't even get past my thighs. Sizing is silly...no one will know if you had to bump up or down because of the cut, style, or likely completely wrong sizing on the store's part. You mean so much more than fitting into the smallest size you can. Our value should never come from a number...on the scale or in our clothes. ???

Katy tried on a size 10 in the same exact style, cut, and brand of jeans and they differed tremendously! One pair was too small and one was way too big. Neither of the same sized jeans fit her. This is a great reminder that we can't beat ourselves up over not being a certain size when sizes aren't even consistent. We should never base our worth and happiness on what size our pants are. Woman need to forget the numers and wear what makes them feel great and comfortable.

"You mean so much more than fitting into the smallest size you can. Our value should never come from a number...on the scale or in our clothes," Katy wrote. We totally agree Katy!
