Labor and delivery nurse Dara Crouch has attended enough births to know -- like most parents -- that one of the few constants with labor and delivery is that you can always expect the unexpected. But when it came to her second pregnancy, Dara was certain about one thing: She'd be having a girl, just like her first child, and just like every other baby born into her family in more than 50 years.

Dara told PopSugar, "I had this weird connection to my daughter's clothes, and since their birthdays would only be three weeks apart, I knew I could reuse them. It never really set in that this baby could be a boy until just a few minutes before he was born."

Photographer Neely Ker-Fox was with Dara and her husband, Eric, in the delivery room, and had her camera ready when Dara saw her --surprise! -- son for the first time. "In my over 100 births I've photographed, I see all kinds of reactions," she said. "Some of the most heart-warming, soul stirring, tear-filled moments." But when she posted the photos on her Facebook page, her caption summed it up: "'IT'S A BOY' Hands down best reaction in 100+ births and 6 years of doing this!"

Though she won't be using her daughter's clothes after all, Dara couldn't be happier: "When my midwife, Melissa, held him up, I was in complete shock! It was a boy, and I lost it! I was so excited, and so in love! I couldn't imagine it being any other way!"
