A group that was on an African Safari got a bit too close to a pack of cheetahs while in Serengeti. And honestly, I was freaking out just watching this from the comfort of my desk, not close to any cheetahs at all, and these guys totally kept their cool, which likely saved their lives.

KOMO NewsRadio anchor Elisa Jaffe's son Britton Hayes was with a group watching three cheetah brothers on the hunt, according to KOMO News, Hayes stated:

"We started to notice the cheetahs became curious of the vehicle," said Hayes. "But it was too late to drive quickly away or anything like that because you don't want to startle the animals, because that's when things usually go wrong."

Hayes explained that his guide (Alex) kept him calm and guided him through the experience, making sure he did not make eye contact with the cheetah, he described this moment as the "scariest moment of his life." Hayes also stated that he's never felt more alive.

So in case you ever have an encounter with a cheetah, avoid eye contact, remain calm and still....simple enough right?
