3. Does the caregiver relate to your child in the way you want?

Make sure that the caregiver you hire interacts with your child in the way that you need for the job. If you want someone to be a nurturing and support the growth of a routine in your child's life, don't pick the exclusively fun and whimsical nanny, no matter how much you love him or her. It is very easy to get caught up in the sounds of your child's laughter when interacting with certain caregivers, but if ten hours of free play is not what you want for your child, resist, resist, resist.
