Therapy Pig Calms Nervous and Anxious Travelers at San Francisco Airport

The Wag Brigade welcomed their first non-canine to the crew this week LiLou - a therapy pig that roams the San Francisco airport to calm nervous and stressed travelers. The Wag Brigade consists of about 2 dozen trained therapy dogs that provide comfort to nervous travelers. People are encouraged to pet the dogs while traveling to ease their fears of flying and overall anxiousness of traveling.

LiLou is a spotted Juliana pig and she dresses up in various costumes to entertain travelers to distract them from their anxieties.

"I can see that she is happy showing off her tricks and getting her praise," LiLou's owner, Tatyana Danilova, told USA Today. "It also brings positive emotions to me seeing that we can do something good for the community and bring more smiles in some unconventional way."

Hopefully more airports will start to incorporate this awesome idea into their airports, I know it would make traveling a bit more enjoyable!
