Crop tops have been everywhere over the past year or so, from red carpets to fashion magazine covers to the corporate conference rooms. But now wedding trend forecasters are starting to see a wave of crop tops storming down the aisle.

None other than the venerable New York Times Weddings section just featured an article titled "Defying Tradition, and Working Out, to Wear Bridal Crop Tops," which chronicled one stylish woman's mission to be "in shape enough to be in a crop top in front of 300 people." Working with bridal designer Watters, that woman, Cammy Hebert, is conceiving her idea of a two-piece gown that features what she referred to as a "princess fun skirt" with the midriff-baring top.

She's not alone: designers as high-end as Reem Acra are dipping into the crop-top waters, and bridal line Houghton is in on the fun.

Here's a sampling of some of the crop-top looks you could be seeing heading down the aisle through the next wedding season"
