Some bumps in life are unexpected. Tune in to TLC on Sunday, November 12th at 10/9c for the premiere of Unexpected, a new series following the journey of three pregnant teen couples and the parents who raised them.

Here's who you'll meet:

Lexus, 15, is 38-weeks pregnant and expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Shayden. Lexus's mom Kelsey is about to be a 31 year-old grandmother, and remains doubtful the teen couple is prepared for the huge responsibility of parenthood.

McKayla, 16, was raised by her grandparents since her teenage mother Shannon was largely absent during her childhood. Now McKayla is shopping for prom dresses that fit her growing baby bump with soon-to-be father Caelan. As she preps for prom, McKayla reestablishes a relationship with her mother, also pregnant, who now wants to be a bigger part of her life in the few weeks before the baby arrives.

Lilly, 16, only started dating future father James a few months before she got pregnant. Now the two are getting ready for their new arrival while their families urge them to get to know one another a little better.

Already looking forward to these stories? On November 5th we'll launch Unexpected: Baby Bumps, a TLC GO Original series. This four-episode digital series will introduce the three young expectant moms and the families a week before the premiere. Download the TLC GO app to watch this series and to watch the season premiere before it airs on TV.

We've partnered with The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy to help viewers use Unexpected as a way to spark meaningful conversations about unplanned pregnancies. Based on themes covered in the show, The National Campaign is creating discussion-starters, information and tips for families, teens, and other trusted adults to help them talk openly and ensure all young people have the power to decide if, when and under what circumstances to get pregnant. These family resources will be available for viewers at TLC.com/Unexpected.
