Ryan Gosling Says Women Are Better Than Men (and the Entire Female Population Swoons)

Ryan Gosling's "Hey Girl" persona has inspired countless memes. Much more than just an attractive actor, Gosling is viewed as the dream boyfriend. He's in touch with his emotions. He's caring. He really gets you. In the Hey Girl memes, he's everything you ever wanted a man to be. Gosling's sensitive persona also inspired the wildly successful (and unauthorized) book "Feminist Ryan Gosling."

Therefore, it shouldn't come as a shock that real-life Gosling thinks women are better than men. The actor recently told ES Magazine that he thinks America needs a female president because he thinks "[America] needs a woman's touch. "

The father of two girls said "I think women are better than men. They are stronger, more evolved. You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately."

At 35, Gosling recalls the special impact that women have had on his life. "I was brought up by my mother and older sister. I found my way into dance class. My home life now is mostly women. They are better than us. They make me better."

When asked about the constant attention he gets from women and gay men, Gosling said "It's our time as men to be on the receiving end of the stick."

He said "I grew up with women so I've always been aware of it. When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars. It was very, very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory."

What do you think of Gosling's quote -- is he right?
