Remarkable Woman’s “365 Selfies” Show Astonishing Weight Loss Transformation

After Justine McCabe's husband committed suicide in February 2015, the 31-year-old -- already mourning the recent loss of her mom -- found herself a young, widowed mother, in a cycle of unhealthy eating habits, and weighing more than 300 pounds. After months of grief, she wrote on Tumblr: "My children deserved to have a happy mother again. I had no idea how I would find her, but I knew I had to give it a shot...Late at night when I would be in the middle of crying fits I would repeat to myself, 'I want to live. I want to grow. I want to change.'"

She started out simply: With an hour on the elliptical machine, and a post-workout selfie that she sent to her best friend, because, "the whole intention of that first gym session was to prove a point to her." And she kept it up, making the gym a regular part of her routine, adopting clean eating, meal prep, and portion control habits, and, just as importantly, taking her daily selfie (which she now posts to her Instagram, @hairstargetsfit ).

The person you see reflecting in the mirror...will provide you with the biggest challenges in life. The human spirit is powerful. Do the work. Suffer the setbacks, push past the pain and excuses. True motivation is not an outside source. It's staring directly back at you. There is nothing you cannot be, do or have. Live with no regrets and don't ever give up. This is what drives me. In just over a year, McCabe dropped 124 pounds. Cater News combined all of her before and after selfies into a single video of her transformation, but the physical change was just the beginning. Since losing the weight, she's traveled around the world, gone skydiving, and crossed countless items off her bucket list. "As human beings, we are limitless," she writes. "Everything we think we can or cannot do starts within the boundaries we set for ourselves. Matching my inner and outer strength has been more than just rewarding, it has been a game changer."
