Recipe: Tamari Garlic Chicken and Coconut Rice

Celebrate #NationalGarlicDay with Buddy Valastro's tamari garlic chicken and coconut rice recipe! It's a delicious and flavorful dinner recipe the whole family will love!



  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Add Ginger
  • 1/2 cup tamari soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 4 squeezes of honey
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Add black pepper
  • Whisk
  • Add skinless boneless chicken thighs
  • Mix
  • Grill
  • Boil leftover sauce for 5 minutes
  • Add 2 cups of rice to 1& 1/2 cups of water
  • Add 14 ounces of unsweetened coconut milk
  • Simmer for 15 minutes
  • Flip chicken after 5 minutes
  • Baste thighs with boiled sauce
  • Plate rice and add chicken
  • Add chopped scallions
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds
