Will true love be sealed with a kiss, or will it be a total miss? TLC's LOVE AT FIRST KISS, premiering Wednesday, August 3rd at 10/9c.

Let's be honest, there are two types of kisses. The ones that you still think about years after they've occurred (call me a hopeless romantic, or just plain hopeless, I don't know). Those kisses that happen on a warm summer night, where the temperature is just right, you're on a beach, your skin is perfectly sun-kissed. Maybe it's the magic of summer or the amount of white wine you're had, but there's a spark and it's perfect.

Then there's the other type of kiss -- the kind you'd like to forget. There's a connection -- maybe it's not immediate -- but you figure, why not? Then suddenly he's licking the side of your face, biting your tongue, and totally grossing you out. You remind yourself your gut is usually right (but hey, kudos for trying something new!) and leave the situation as quickly as possible.

Our point is that you can tell a lot by a first kiss, which is exactly what Love At First Kiss, premiering on TLC in August, aims to do. Dating is weird. It's awkward, you're nervous, you're excited, and you ask yourself a ton of internal questions: Will he kiss me, or are we just doing an awkward hug and avoiding eye contact at the end of this date? Love At First Kiss goes straight for the kiss, which both parties have agreed to, and everything that happens afterward. If there's a connection, it could be love, and if there's not, well, it'll make you feel better about how awkward your love life might be.

Tell us: What's your first kiss pet peeve?
