Kristen Bell’s Response to a Paparazzi Photographing Her Kids at School is Brilliant

Celebrities are used to having their picture taken when they are on the red carpet, but they are often photographed by paparazzi when they are on a coffee run or grabbing groceries. But for Kristen Bell, there are times she refuses to be photographed--when she is with her kids. When one paparazzi overstepped his boundaries, Bell had the most perfect, Mamma bear response.

Bell, who led an anti-paparazzi campaign back in 2014, was able to get several networks and major publications to stop buying and printing pictures of celebrities' children. She has often said that even though she made the choice to be a celebrity, her children did not, and they deserve their privacy.

Recently she was picking up her daughters, 5-year-old Lincoln and 3-year-old Delta, from their preschool when she spotted a paparazzi sitting in a car across the street from the school. He was snapping pictures of her children using a telephoto lens. The moment she spotted the paparazzi, she knew she had to act fast.

"I said, 'Kristen, you can handle this,'" she told a crowd at the Mom 2.0 Summit. So with her children in the car, she pulled her vehicle right behind the paparazzi's car so he was blocked in his parking space. Then she knocked on his window and said "Hi. My name's Kristen. Do you realize how much you are putting my kids at risk? I have confidence your mom raised you better." She asked him to delete the photos of her kids, and he did!

While her first thought was to yell at the man, she knew how their conversation would have ended. "I guarantee you he would not have deleted those pictures," Bell said.

We love that this Mamma bear took control of the situation to keep her kids safe and reminded the paparazzi that his mother would not like his choices.
