Is this Viral Hack for Boiling Water Genius or Ridiculous?

A watched pot never boils, but maybe someone just created a hack for that. If your kids are patiently waiting for you to make mac and cheese or you just want a hot cup of tea but you just can't stand next to the stove waiting for the water to boil, try Twitter user Justin Hillister viral hack that allows you to keep an eye on the water while you multi-task--or in Justin's case, watch TV.

Hillister posted a picture of his hack on Twitter that shows a pot of water on a stove with his iPhone aimed right at the soon to be boiling water. Hillester is in another room keeping an eye on the water while on Facetime as he watches TV. Boom--never worry your water will overflow again. Imagine the possibilities and all of the time you could save. In those moments your pot of water is on Facetime, you could take out the trash, do the dishes, or find a few moments of Zen. Of course, you could just wait in the kitchen for the water to boil like everyone that has ever boiled water, it's up to you.

This water boiling hack has been retweeted almost 52,000 times and like most viral hacks, the internet is divided. While some users claim this life hack is a stroke of genius, there are plenty of people that think this is yet another life hack that has just gone too far.
