Ideas for How to Reveal Your Baby’s Gender

Pretty much from the moment you announce your pregnancy, people are asking if it's a boy or a girl -- so why not share that big news in a big way? Here are some ideas for how to make your gender reveal into an event.

Pink and blue are still the traditional girl and boy colors, respectively, so using one of those colors to reveal a baby's gender is quite popular. Here a cute couple uses pink balloons to tell their story.


Sticking with the color theme, this expectant mother artfully used pink paint on her belly.


Blue crazy string
is a fun take on the color-to-reveal theme. Bonus points if it's a surprise to the expectant couple, too.

We like this variation on the balloon reveal theme because hiding them inside a box gives it an element of surprise.

For a social-media photo post reveal, we certainly can't argue with getting the family pet involved.


And of course there's the now-popular "reveal with the color of the icing inside the cake" method, which we heartily endorse because it involves a dessert food.
