Jason Stamper and his wife Justice have known each other since they were 11 years old. So imagine his horror when she woke up from a terrible car crash and didn't remember their wedding day.

The Bristol, Tennessee, couple met in Sunday school class when they were kids and reconnected again in high school. After dating as teenagers, the pair got engaged, and last August, married in front of 70 of their closest friends and family.

But then three weeks later, Justice was in a car accident that gave her a concussion and post-traumatic stress disorder. It left her with short-term memory loss. Most devastatingly, she couldn't remember their wedding day. "She looked at the [wedding] pictures and she saw the video, but she said it drew a blank. It would only upset her," her husband told Good Morning America.

"The doctors said [her memory] could come back and it might not," he continued. "Signing our lease, renting our apartment, the planning, all that stuff she has no recollection of."

Doctors aren't sure how much of Justice's memory might return. But Jason isn't taking any chances, which is why he's throwing his wife a new wedding, on the anniversary of their first.

"I'm absolutely looking forward to seeing his face when I come down the aisle," said Justice. "That is the moment I want to see."

After that? The couple wants to start a family.

"We want to take in those memories that most people take for granted," said Jason. "They go through it, but don't cherish them like they should. Hold onto them as if they're the last things on earth because if they go away, it's terrible."
