An Australian mommy blogger has some important advice for new moms: Don't sacrifice your time with your friends for anything.

In a viral post that has now been shared over 24,000 times, Constance Hall begs new moms to stop cancelling plans with their friends. She says, "Socialise. Please. Above cleaning, above cooking, above everything. Because face to face contact is free therapy, a laugh and a coffee or walk saved me."

Hall goes on to say that spending time with her friends is what got her through the trials of having four babies, a rocky marriage, and coping with severe anxiety.

It's easy for moms to get caught up in the responsibilities of becoming a new parent, of taking care of the baby, of cooking and cleaning, of getting everything just right at home.

However, Hall warns that making time for your friends can make all the difference when it comes to your sanity. She says "You have 2 huge responsibilities, keeping your baby safe and happy and taking care of your mental health. Everything else can wait."

According to Hall, moms who chose to take time off work or become stay-at-home moms have the most to lose when they skip out on seeing their friends.

She notes a real difference between the working parent and the stay at home parent. After an argument, Hall says, "The working parent is able to walk out the door and distract themselves, kick goals at work, have a chat and just generally feel like a normal human with a purpose."

Moms who have to stay home are instead left to dwell on the argument within four walls. This is why Hall encourages moms to get out there and make sure they spend time with their friends.

She says, "Walk out that door and call a Queen, even if you barley know her. Talk openly, bitch about the dickhead you married, cry about your lack of sleep, laugh at the state of the house you just walked out of. Just do it."

Hall says getting some much needed TLC from your friends will make you feel happier, healthier, and it might even make you love your partner more.
