Dessert Hummus is the Newest Health Trend You Need to Try

Your new favorite healthy dessert just might be dessert hummus. This combination sounds weird but people are saying don't knock it 'til you try it! We have seen some unlikely pairings that actually work in the past like avocado chocolate pudding and butternut squash cheese sauce. Before you ride off dessert hummus, think about this. Chickpeas are virtually flavorless and will take on any flavor you mix with them. So instead of adding olive oil and garlic, adding things like vanilla, chocolate and sugar will bring a whole new flavor upon the chickpeas. And their creamy texture somewhat resembles a thick icing you may have with other unhealthy desserts.

You can find these delicious, healthy treats in some grocery stores. They come in flavors like snickerdoodle, brownie batter and chocolate mint. But don't get discouraged if you can't find a pre-made dessert hummus because people everywhere are making them at home! All you need is chickpeas and whatever flavoring you would like to add. People love mixing in maple syrup, cinnamon sugar and even boxed cake mixes.




Pair your dessert hummus with graham crackers, fruit, pretzels or sweet pita chips. Having this easy, healthy dessert on hand will help curb those late-night ice cream cravings. You will be shocked will how delicious this dessert hummus really is! Not to mention a lot of these are dairy and gluten free, making it a dessert that can appease all different dietary restrictions.
