Meet Danielle and Mohamed

Danielle, a 41-year-old mother of four from Ohio, thought she met the love of her life online when she began chatting with Mohamed, a young man from Tunisia. Despite their religious and cultural differences (not to mention a 15-year age gap), Danielle and Mohamed decided to give their relationship a real shot. But almost immediately after Mohamed arrived in the States to marry Danielle, drama took over their lives and put their love to the test.

Catch up on their crazy journey (so far) before the premiere of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After on June 25th!

Love at First Sight

The pair first met in a global chatroom, and after just 5 months of messaging, Mohamed proposed! Danielle was hesitant but in the end she accepted his proposal. It took all her savings, but finally Danielle was able to travel to Tunisia herself and fall even more in love with Mohamed, who seemed to feel the same. Then, it was time for Mohamed to come to the States and make their marriage official.

The First 90 Days

Mohamed came to Ohio on a K-1 Visa. He only had 90 days to marry Danielle or he would be deported back to Tunisia. After arriving in the U.S. Mohamed discovered Danielle was unemployed and in debt. She could barely pay for the wedding itself. Mohamed took serious time to consider if the marriage was worth taking on all of Danielle's debts. Danielle's family grew skeptical and Mohamed continued to be indecisive all the way up to the day of the wedding.

The Wedding

After endless deliberation, and even seeking legal consult, Mohamed went through with the wedding just in time. Danielle even promised to get her financial issues under control for him. The pair was officially married in a small ceremony with just close family and friends as witnesses. Everyone was caught off guard when Mohamed declined to kiss Danielle at their wedding, citing religious reasons.

The 2nd 90 Days

Almost immediately after the wedding, Mohamed started taking trips without telling anyone where he was going. Danielle was devastated, and her family insisted he had been using her to get into the country. But Danielle's love for Mohamed was still strong, and she vowed to do all she could to save her marriage.

The Green Card

14 months after they were married, Mohamed received his green card. With that in hand, he took off once again, this time to stay with a friend in town. He claimed he was no longer interested in the drama that consumed his life with Danielle. Still, Danielle remained blinded by love and maintained hope that Mohamed would return.

The Break Up

Mohamed, fed up with the back-and-forth drama with Danielle in Ohio, ran off to Miami with another woman. That was the final straw for Danielle. With the encouragement of a friend, she decided to file for annulment in order to ensure Mohamed would be sent back to Tunisia. But Once Mohamed found out about the annulment, he drove back to Ohio to beg her to reconsider. They talked and argued for hours until Danielle agreed to pull the annulment, but only with Mohamed's promise that they will always remain close friends.

Miami Heat

When Mohamed returned to Miami he began ignoring Danielle, despite his promise. Infuriated, Danielle tracks him down again and threatens him with deportation. Mohamed calls the cops and forces her to leave.

The Reunion

Danielle and Mohamed see one another for the first time in months at the 90 Day Fiance reunion. Things get ugly when they confront one another about their marriage and sex life!

When we last saw them, they were still legally married and Danielle maintained the power to send him back to Tunisia. This unlikely love story is far from over.
