When Dylan Olivo was in the first grade, he created a Pokemon inspired tie for his father, Robert, for Father's Day. While all parents treasure those special handmade gifts from their children, Dylan's father found a unique way to honor his son and the beloved DIY gift.

Eleven years later, the Pokemon tie made another appearance, but this time it was when his father donned the tie while attending 18 year old Dylan's high school graduation. This unique clothing choice has given us and the internet all the feels.

Dylan told Buzzfeed about making the tie as a first grader, "Since I loved Pokemon at the time (still do), I decided why not have him wear a tie of something that I like?" While Dylan had no idea his dad planned to wear the tie to graduation or that he still had the tie, he loved that his dad honored him by breaking the tie out on such a special day.

Dylan tweeted a photo of the two posing at his graduation ceremony and the family photo went viral as Twitter users were quick to congratulate Dylan and also tell him how much they love his dad's sweet gesture.

According to Dylan's Twitter profile, he will be attending the University of Texas at Austin, and we hope the Pokemon tie makes another appearance at his college graduation too.

Also, remember when Pokemon fashion was all the rage? Maybe Dylan's dad is just ahead of the times!
