Alistair Campbell's daughter Charlotte is just six years old, but she has two cochlear implants, or surgically implanted devices meant to provide a sense of sound for those with severe hearing issues. Charlotte's mother has a cochlear implant and her brother Lewis wears hearing aids, so it wasn't surprising that Charlotte had hearing issues, but that didn't make it any easier.

In order to support his daughter, Alistair got inked with his own cochlear implant, proudly displayed on his bald head. Despite the fact that he had no previous tattoos, Alistair wanted to show his daughter that he was willing to go through a bit of discomfort, just like she did when she got her implants.

And though Charlotte's mom isn't sure that she understand the meaning of the tattoo, the six-year-old told the New Zealand Herald that it's "cool." Very cool, indeed!
