School is almost out, which means there is going to be a lot of free time around the house. Crafts are an easy way to pass the time between the pool and summer camps. These are great interactive crafts that will leave the kids feeling accomplished and wanting to show off their work. Beat the boredom and try out some of these easy crafts that kids will love!

Homemade Play Dough

This may sound complicated, but it is so easy! The homemade play dough by Living Well Mom only takes a few ingredients; most of which you probably already have in your pantry. Get the kids to help and have them measure out all the ingredients. You can make multiple colors, and mix and match. Then when the play dough is done, grab your mini rolling pins, plastic cookie cutters and have fun!

No Sew Pillow

The no sew pillow from a Modern Mrs. is a great craft because you get to keep the product and use it daily! Take the kids to the fabric store and have them pick out their favorite fleece pattern. Stores are carrying everything from unicorn to Superman patterns these days. When you get home, you can cut the fabric for them and they can start tying away! These pillows can be made into all shapes and sizes making it a perfect opportunity to have your kids get creative. This is a super easy and cheap project that will leave your kids feeling accomplished.

Owl Bird Feeder

This craft from Red Ted Art is perfect for the animal loving child. It only takes a few simple steps to make this adorable bird feeder and the kids will love it! The great thing about this craft is that you can check and refill the bird feeder as an added task to your child's daily routine. They will love seeing the birds come to the bird feeder every day! This adds something extra to keep your kids happy and busy this summer.

Homemade Popsicles

These frozen fruit pops from Skinny Taste are so easy and delicious! All you need is a popsicle mold and whatever fruit or juice you have on hand. The kids can make their own creative combinations like orange and blueberry or strawberry kiwi. Just set up a popsicle making station with various fruits and juices lined up. Not only are these popsicles fun to make, they're also healthy. You could even sneak in a veggie juice to the mix. The possibilities are endless!

Sparkly Science Experiment

This is a great idea for any child interested in science and wanting to do experiments. The sparkly science experiment from PreSchool Powol Packets is a good way to incorporate education into craft time. This only requires a few simple materials, but the product is so fun! The kids will love watching their creation in action. They will definitely ask for more science experiments after trying this one.
