For this couple from North Carolina, their newborn son was their utmost priority.

When they found out he likely had less than one year to live, they wed in his hospice to ensure he would be there with them when they said "I do." The one-month-old baby, named Conner, was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, which is a rare genetic disorder where a person will experience internal effects due to having an eighteenth chromosome.

"We were told we didn't have much time left with Conner," said his dad Christopher Armstrong. "So we wanted him to be [at the wedding]."

Christopher and his wife Patricia Armstrong got their wish and shared a photo of the intimate moment on Facebook. But, three days after the ceremony, their son passed away.

"Conner was truly heaven sent and we don't regret allowing him to have a chance at life," Patricia wrote on Facebook following her son's passing. "He was loved by so many and always will."

We are keeping Patricia, Christopher and Conner in our thoughts.
